Renergia Internship Challenge 2026 is now open
Renergia is launching a new internship challenge for students who want to work on real engineering and energy-sector problems.
The challenge is designed to show how candidates turn data into decisions. It combines two areas that are central to Renergia’s work: analysing real energy data and developing concepts for Energy Communities.
AI tools may be used for research, analysis, idea generation, and structuring the work. Candidates must, however, fully understand and be able to explain every part of their proposed solution.
A six-month paid internship
The strongest candidate will receive a six-month paid internship at Renergia, running from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027.
During the internship, the selected candidate will work directly on Renergia’s live projects and receive mentorship from professionals in energy, digitalization, and entrepreneurship.
The internship also includes:
• the opportunity to test the proposed solution in a real pilot project;
• direct experience with applied energy data and digital products;
• the possibility of joining Renergia after the internship through a fixed-term or permanent position.
What the challenge evaluates
We are interested not only in the final solution, but also in the thinking behind it.
Candidates will be evaluated on their ability to:
• analyse and interpret energy data;
• identify problems, risks, and uncertainties;
• develop clear hypotheses and support them with relevant arguments;
• use AI responsibly, as a tool rather than a substitute for understanding.

After applying, candidates will receive the complete challenge brief and the required datasets. They will then have one month to complete their submission.
The Top 10 projects will be invited to present their work at the Renergia headquarters.
